Navigating Emerging Regulation of Artificial Intelligence Global Compliance Aspects

About the Course

The course aims to provide an introduction to the emerging regulatory landscape for artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. Participants will learn about key global regulatory developments and gain a comprehensive introduction to the EU AI Act as a pioneering instrument and, to date, the most extensive AI-specific regulatory framework.

Course Description

The study of the EU AI Act focuses on aspects that are particularly relevant for businesses, including the underlying regulatory logic, key concepts and principles, and the practical application of the rules in business contexts. In addition, the course addresses data-related aspects of legal compliance relevant to AI systems, including regulatory regimes beyond the AI Act, in particular the GDPR and the EU Data Act. To facilitate understanding of legal requirements, the sessions will draw on practical examples and case studies.
