Master of Nonprofit Administration (MNA) Program

The Master of Nonprofit Administration (MNA) program at Notre Dame is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the nonprofit sector. The program is built on the conviction that business can drive positive change in the world.


Program Overview

The MNA program is a 10-month, 38-credit degree that helps students develop a comprehensive understanding of the nonprofit sector. The program is designed to deepen students' knowledge of everything from economics to management to human resources.


Curriculum

The MNA curriculum is divided into two semesters: Fall and Spring. The Fall semester includes courses such as:

Tuition and Financial Aid

The tuition for the MNA program is $51,840. Scholarships are available to all qualified candidates, regardless of citizenship. The program also offers federal and private loan options, as well as earned assistantships.


Admissions

The MNA program is designed primarily for individuals with bachelor's degrees in non-business disciplines. Applicants with undergraduate business degrees will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The application deadlines are:


  • Early Action: September 4, 2025
  • Round 1: October 14, 2025
  • Round 2: January 8, 2026
  • Round 3: March 17, 2026
  • Round 4: May 5, 2026

Grow Irish Experience

The Grow Irish Experience is a highlight of the MNA program, featuring immersive, off-campus learning experiences that challenge students to apply what they've learned in the classroom. The experience includes:


  • Fall Grow Irish: connects MNA students with leaders from a diverse array of local and regional nonprofit leaders
  • Spring Grow Irish: features a team-based intensive, weeklong nonprofit travel immersion or innovation and flexibility in furthering the nonprofit career readiness of MNA students

Military and Veterans

The University of Notre Dame assists veterans and their families by offering support regarding the use of Veteran Affairs (VA) benefits. Veterans may be eligible for up to $69,918.98 in tuition reimbursement for the 2025-2026 academic year.
