Double Degree Program

The Double Degree Program is a unique opportunity for students to spend semesters in Berlin and obtain a double degree.

Offered Semesters

The following semesters are offered to be spent in Berlin for the Double Degree program:

• Limited electives will be taught in Berlin Campus for the 9th and 10th semesters.
• Any semester which is NOT offered can be opened, on the condition that a petition is submitted to the Berlin Office.
• Labs are going to be held in Cairo.
• Note: The university has the right to cancel the semester offering at any time.

Tuition and Other Expenses

• Semester tuition fees are approximately equivalent to home university (GUC) tuition fees in Euros.
• Administrative fees (per semester): 500 Euros
• Double degree program registration fees: 1000 Euros
• Travel-related expenses:
  • Health insurance (200 Euros) and visa issuance fees (75 Euros).
  • Living expenses (861 Euros per month) (as required by the German Embassy for visa acquisition).
• Details and deadlines of payment will be sent later via email.

Admission

• Students who are allowed to travel are clear non-advising and not on probation.
• No makeup exams are held in Berlin Campus. Students who will travel to Berlin and miss the makeup exam period in Cairo will not be given a compensation make-up exam. (No refund of tuition fees will be granted in this case).
• Eligibility Criteria:
  1. Minimum stay of three semesters at GIU Berlin is a requirement to obtain the double degree.
  2. Advising students are not eligible to register in the program.
  3. Applying for the double degree program requires a GPA of 3.0 or less.
