MA Design (Fashion)

Overview

MA Design (Fashion) offers an opportunity to reimagine the status quo of fashion through a research-led, practical exploration of materials, processes, and technologies aimed at proposing new strategies for the industry. The course is designed to cultivate both design entrepreneurs and creative practitioners, encouraging students to build upon their existing knowledge or fashion experience to develop fashion projects that emphasize new material applications, circular production protocols, and systems-thinking in a research-based, studio-centred inquiry.

Entry Requirements

Candidates for the MA are generally expected to possess an undergraduate degree at 2:2 or above. The evaluation process will also consider the strength of creative practice and other forms of experience during the interview stage.


Portfolio Requirements

Prospective students should submit a portfolio reflecting work created, organized, or involved in, demonstrating creative abilities relevant to postgraduate arts, craft and design courses.


Application Deadline

While the ideal deadline for submitting applications is 1 July, late applications may be accepted until the course commences, contingent upon availability.


Alumni Discount

Arts University Plymouth graduates are entitled to a 15% discount on Masters programme fees, applicable regardless of the graduation date, provided they have studied on any pre-degree, foundation, or undergraduate programmes.
