نظرة عامة على البرنامج
Études françaises
Program Overview
The Études Françaises program focuses on French literatures and the evolution of ideas and literary fields, as well as offering research training in French linguistics. This unique interdisciplinary program features a double specialization in French Literature and French Linguistics, with courses delivered exclusively in French across both campuses of York University.
Students will have the opportunity to engage in research and study concerning French literature and the language as it pertains to France, French Canada, and French-speaking communities around the globe. Notable research areas include North African literature and Canadian French, along with immersion programs in French.
Active student involvement in research is encouraged through opportunities as graduate or research assistants, participation in the Centre for Research on Language Contact located at Glendon, and organization and participation in student colloquia that showcase their research.
