Family Studies at Weber State

Family Studies Highlights

  • Weber State's Child & Family Studies Student Association allows students to make friends, network with industry professionals, and get more involved in their major.
  • Family studies courses are offered at WSU's Ogden and Davis campuses, and Davis High School, along with courses combining face-to-face instruction and online learning.

Beyond the Classroom

  • Every year, Weber State hosts the Families Alive Conference, where students can network and join workshops to learn ways to enhance the lives of families.

  • Students will develop the ability to create environments that enhance the lives and healthy development of children, adults, and families over the lifespan.
  • The curriculum covers family relations, child growth and development, interpersonal relations, resource management, and family finances.

  • As a Weber State family studies graduate, students can become a personal coordinator or family caseworker.
