Master of Arts in Applied Politics

The Master of Arts in Applied Politics program at Suffolk University is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the American political system and the skills necessary to succeed in the field of public policy. The program is situated at the intersection of Boston's local, state, and federal government institutions, offering students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in all facets of the political process.

Program Overview

The MA in Applied Politics program is an experience-based program that focuses on the North American political system. Students gain a foundational knowledge in party politics, electoral and advocacy campaigns, public policy, and voting, while also building practical skills in data and policy analysis and writing. A required internship provides students with the opportunity to apply their skills and knowledge in a real-world setting, making valuable networking contacts and advancing their careers.
