Accelerated Nursing Degree Program

Program Overview

The Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program option is designed for individuals who wish to earn a BSN and enter the nursing profession in an accelerated time frame. This program can be completed in 14 months of study and is located at CMU-Columbia in the Forum Shopping Center. Clinical experiences will occur in a variety of mid-Missouri health care facilities.

Program Details

As a CMU Accelerated Nursing major, you will have opportunities to:

• develop the skills employers seek while taking classes such as Psychosocial Integrity, Pharmacology, Leadership and Management, Nursing Research, Maternal/Child Nursing, and Public Health and Community Nursing Concepts
• participate in hands-on learning through classes and clinical experiences
• become a candidate for employment who is highly desired for your leadership, management, and health care skills, and who stands apart due to your compassion and dedication
• receive the preparation needed to earn an advanced degree

Accreditation

The accelerated BSN nursing program is fully approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing. The accelerated BSN program at CMU is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

Admission to CMU is selective. Our admission staff carefully reviews and evaluates each application on an individual basis. Please review all requirements prior to applying for admission.
