Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control

ABOUT THE COURSE

Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control covers competencies to select, install, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain systems and devices to measure and record physical/chemical phenomena and related process control.


DURATION

Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control requires 104 weeks of study (including holidays and work training).


STRUCTURE

  • You must attend classes for a minimum of 20 hours every week and complete self-paced learning from home.
  • You can find an internship to get a foot in the door in the industry. We recommend finding internships for at least 360 hours. This is optional, and the student will be responsible for finding the internship.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Completed Australian Year 11 or equivalent.
  • Overall IELTS score of 5.5.
  • Must be 18 years old or older.
  • One must be physically fit to enrol into this course as it involves the use of tools, ladders, step ladders, use of harnesses and manoeuvring through tight spaces and working outdoors.
  • Clear Ausinet’s math test before you can enrol.

FEES

  • Total Course Cost: AUD $24,500
  • Enrolment Fee (non-refundable): AUD $250
  • Material fee (one-off): AUD $250
  • Tuition Fee: AUD $24,000

LOCATION

  • Brisbane Campus: 117 Victoria Street, West End, QLD. The campus is easily accessible by bus or car and has free parking spaces.
  • Darwin Campus: 11/41 Sadgroves Crescent, Winnellie. The campus is easily accessible by bus or by car and has free parking spaces.

INTAKE

  • Intakes in January & June.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

  • Assessment of competencies will be done by the trainer throughout the course.
  • You will have to complete written and practical assessments and workplace demonstrations and observations.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING

  • All individual students are offered the opportunity to apply for RPL. If requested, the trainer at Ausinet will provide candidates with an RPL Application Form, to assist the candidate in determining if RPL is an appropriate pathway to gain the qualification. If appropriate, candidates will be provided with an RPL Self-Assessment Guide and instructions on how to prepare a portfolio of evidence.
