Engineering Leadership Professional Program (ELPP) – Silicon Valley
The Engineering Leadership Professional Program (ELPP) is designed to fast-track careers from engineer to leader in 6 months. This in-person program combines leadership insights, innovation frameworks, and business acumen over 22 evening sessions.
Program Details
- Location: In-person in Silicon Valley (Sunnyvale)
- Time: Wednesdays, 5:30-8:30 PM, January 21 - June 3, 2026
- Price: $14,220 (with a 10% discount available for early bird registrations)
Program Structure
The program is structured into two main parts:
- January – April: Strategy, Product Management, and Innovation
- Leadership Primer: Innovation Engineering videos and Harvard case studies
- Interactive Sessions: Explore stages of the innovation lifecycle
- Skills Focus: Product marketing, measurement, pitching strategies, and team building
- Cross-Corporate Group Project: Idea development and mentoring
- April – June: Operations, Leadership, Psychology, and Communication
- Leadership Primer: Crucial Conversations modules, finance training, case studies, and role play exercises
- Skills Focus: Financial accounting, influence and negotiation, leadership communication, and innovation psychology
- Group Project Continuation: Final project refinement and presentation

- Is there tuition support? While there are no program scholarships, a customizable document is available to garner tuition support from companies or institutions
- What is the time commitment? In addition to daily class sessions, participants can expect an additional 2 hours on prework and additional time inside and outside of class for the group project
- Who are the participating companies? The program welcomes individual applications as well as nominations from global university partners and corporations such as Tesla, Allianz, Siemens, Apple, Bosch, Yahoo!, VMware, governmental agencies, financial services corporations, VCs, and more
- Is there lodging available for the program? Berkeley offers an assortment of accommodation options, including the UC Berkeley Faculty Club, the UC Berkeley Lab Guesthouse, The Graduate, Hotel Shattuck, and the Berkeley Marriott
- Can I receive academic credit? Participants who successfully complete the program will receive a certificate in Innovation Leadership, which is not a credit-bearing program.
