About Us
The Internal Medicine Residency Program at Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons is designed to provide residents with a comprehensive education and training in internal medicine.
Educational Innovation
The program offers a range of educational innovations, including:
- Medicine Report: a case-based conference that focuses on clinical reasoning and management using an evidence-based approach
- Learning Lab: protected educational half days that teach high-yield topics using a variety of engaging pedagogical formats
- Intern and Resident Core Lectures: a series of talks given by fellows or teaching faculty that focus on high-yield topics for interns and residents
- Grand Rounds: organized by the Department of Medicine, featuring distinguished lecturers from around the world
- Specialty Noon Conferences: interdepartmental conferences that allow multidimensional learning across different specialties

OPD Report and Ambulatory Care Curriculum
The program also offers an ambulatory care curriculum, which includes small group teaching sessions on topics and skills in outpatient internal medicine. Residents participate in OPD Report, a morning teaching session with faculty from the Division of General Medicine, and have dedicated time for learning behavioral health and clinical epidemiology.
