Pre-Master's Programme Overview

The pre-Master's programme is designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills in academic research and business topics, preparing them for the Executive Programme in Management Studies (MSc).

Target Audience

The pre-Master's programme is designed for students coming from a University of Applied Sciences background or students with a non-business related academic or applied sciences background.

Flexible Pre-Master's Programme

This programme offers 3 options, allowing students to adjust the planning to suit their needs.

• Complete the programme in 1 semester:
  • On-campus: Attend classes on Fridays and complete the pre-Master's in 1 semester.
  • Hybrid: Combine online classes on Monday after office hours with an on-campus course on Friday afternoons.
• Spread the programme over 2 semesters: Complete the pre-Master's over 1 year by taking just 1 course on Friday afternoons.

Study Programme

The content of the pre-Master's programme will be determined in consultation with the admissions team. Courses may include:

• Introduction to Academic Research: Study the fundamentals of business and management research.
• Management Research Methods I: Understand the statistical concepts and techniques used in Management and Business Administration.
• Fundamentals of Corporate Finance: Get introduced to the fundamentals of Corporate Finance and basic financial calculations.
• Psychology and Behaviour in Organisations: Gain a thorough knowledge of what challenges people management entails for managers.
• Management Research Methods II: Understand the statistical concepts and techniques used in the area of Management and Business Administration.
• Strategy and Organisation: Get an in-depth look at the various theories in strategic management and the related organisational literature.

Admission Requirements

• An academic degree (Bachelor or Master) without quantitative courses and business courses.
• A University of Applied Sciences degree (240 ECTS, HBO in Dutch) preferably with sufficient business administration subjects.
• If obtained from a University of Applied Sciences outside the Netherlands, an English proficiency test may be required.
• Working and living in the Netherlands during studies is an important admission requirement.

Fees

• Pre-Master's: €3,400
• Adjusted pre-Master's: €1,000 - €3,400 Fees are VAT-exempt.
