Program Overview

The University of Copenhagen offers a Bachelor's program in Theology, with a course focused on Old Testament Exegesis 2.


Course Description

The course, titled "Det Gamle Testamentes Eksegese 2" (Old Testament Exegesis 2), is part of the Bachelor's program in Theology.   • Understanding of the contributions of related subjects to the attempt to reconstruct the past horizon of understanding and to make the modern interpreter aware of their own context-dependent possibilities and interests.
  • Ability to perform critical and methodically reflected detailed exegesis, incorporating insights from related subjects.
  • Ability to communicate an Old Testament text interpretation and main points from related subjects.

Course Content

The course content includes:


  • Detailed analysis of selected Old Testament texts in Hebrew.
  • Study of related subjects, such as Old Testament Introduction, Background Studies, and Old Testament Theology.
  • Development of skills in critical and methodically reflected detailed exegesis.

Prerequisites

The course requires:


  • Completion of the course "Hebraisk 2" (Hebrew 2).
  • Recommended: completion of other relevant courses, as specified in the study program.
