Introduction to the University Program

The university program in question is a comprehensive academic offering that encompasses various aspects of higher education. The program is designed to provide students with a well-rounded education, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen field.

Program Structure

The program is structured into several modules, each focusing on a specific area of study. The modules are designed to be comprehensive, covering both theoretical and practical aspects of the subject matter.

Module I: Introduction to Research

This module introduces students to the fundamentals of research, including research design, methodology, and ethics. Students will learn how to conduct literature reviews, collect and analyze data, and present their findings in a clear and concise manner.

Module II: Research Methods

This module delves deeper into research methods, covering both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Students will learn how to design and implement research studies, collect and analyze data, and interpret their findings.

Module III: Academic Writing

This module focuses on academic writing, teaching students how to write clear, concise, and well-structured research papers. Students will learn how to develop a research question, conduct a literature review, and present their findings in a logical and coherent manner.

Module IV: Quantitative Research

This module covers the fundamentals of quantitative research, including research design, data collection, and data analysis. Students will learn how to use statistical software to analyze data and interpret their findings.

Module V: Qualitative Research

This module introduces students to the principles of qualitative research, including research design, data collection, and data analysis. Students will learn how to use qualitative research methods to explore complex research questions.

Module VI: Research Integration

This module brings together the knowledge and skills acquired in the previous modules, teaching students how to integrate their research findings into a comprehensive research paper. Students will learn how to write a clear and concise research paper, including an introduction, literature review, methodology, results, and discussion.

Program Details

• Duration: 132 hours
• Modality: Hybrid (synchronous sessions via Zoom or in-person; autonomous work on the Moodle platform)
• Dates: November 17, 2025, to January 19, 2026
• Schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (synchronous sessions)
• Cost:
  • General public:
    • $18,000 in a single payment
    • $21,000 in three installments (registration and first monthly payment $10,000; second and third installments $5,500 each)
  • UNAM community:
    • $16,000 in a single payment
    • $18,000 in three installments (registration and first monthly payment $10,000; second and third installments $4,000 each)
    • As established by the collective agreement

Program Objectives

• General Objective: To strengthen theoretical-methodological skills for formulating scientific research projects in the field of health, using adequate strategies for searching for evidence, academic writing, digital tools, methodological approaches, and emotional management, from a critical, ethical, and interdisciplinary perspective.
• Specific Objectives:
  • To use digital tools and artificial intelligence to support analysis, information management, and scientific writing.
  • To identify reliable sources of scientific information and apply advanced search strategies.
  • To develop skills in academic writing based on argumentative and scientific structures.
  • To understand and apply quantitative, qualitative, and mixed research paradigms and methods in health.
  • To develop a research project proposal with theoretical, methodological, and ethical foundations.

Target Audience

The program is designed for health professionals with postgraduate training or experience in research, teaching, or clinical care. Participants are expected to have basic skills in using information technologies, comprehensive reading skills for academic texts, and a willingness to work autonomously and collaboratively. It is desirable for participants to have an interest in developing or strengthening research projects in their field.
