Intellectual Property and New Media Law

Programme Description

The Intellectual Property and New Media Law programme focuses on essential areas of intellectual property law, enabling students to acquire specialist knowledge in copyright, industrial property, competition law, and media law. The programme is complemented by non-legal issues such as the functioning of the media, ethics in journalism, IT tools in intellectual property, and many other subjects. The programme courses are delivered by experienced experts mainly in the form of practical classes.


Faculty of Law and Administration

The Faculty of Law and Administration is the oldest scientific unit at the Jagiellonian University, with a history dating back to 1364. It maintains the highest level of education, confirmed by the highest institutional rating of the Polish Accreditation Committee, awarding the scientific A+ category in the classification of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
