Advanced Structural Analysis
This course covers structural analysis methods with emphasis on indeterminate structures (trusses, beams/columns and frames), advanced analysis methods, and introduction to nonlinear structural effects.
Advanced Structural Steel Design
Students will examine the design of steel building structures. We will look at composite deck and beam design, stability design, plastic design, plate girder design, simple and eccentric shear connection design.
Advanced Reinforced Concrete Design
Coursework covers advanced concrete design, including footings, retaining walls, two-way floor slabs, torsion and continuous structures, shear friction, strut and tie design, and precast design.
