Master of Project Management

The Master of Project Management is a postgraduate degree that empowers students with advanced knowledge of project management principles and practice. This degree allows students to design, lead, and implement projects across various industries.

Course Overview

The online Master of Project Management consists of 12 units and can be completed in as little as 24 months part-time. However, if students have a relevant degree or professional accreditation, they may be eligible to fast-track their studies in just 18 months with nine units.

Career Outcomes

Depending on skills and experience, after completing the online Master of Project Management, students will be able to succeed in a variety of roles, including:

Entry Criteria

To gain entry to the online Master of Project Management, applicants must have:

• A bachelor's degree; or
• Equivalent prior learning, including at least five years of relevant professional experience.
• Alternatively, applicants may apply with a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma of Project Management.

Fast-Track Option

Eligible students can fast-track their Master of Project Management and complete their degree in nine units by applying for recognition of prior learning. To gain entry to the fast-tracked master's degree, applicants must:

• Have an Australian Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Project Management, Engineering, or Information Technology, or have completed a major in Project Management; or
• Hold any Australian Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, with at least two years of professional project management experience; or
• Hold a current professional accreditation in project management to meet one of the following: (i) Be a current active (not retired) Project Management Institute (PMI) certificate holder at either PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, PMI-PBA, or PMI-RMP level; or, (ii) Be a current registered Chartered Project Professional with the Association for Project Management (APM) at any level.

Fees and FEE-HELP

The cost of the Master of Project Management is $62,160 for all 12 units. The cost of the Master of Project Management (Fast-Track) is $46,620 for nine units. To assist with some or all of the tuition fees, FEE-HELP is available for eligible students.

Professional Recognition

The Business disciplines at ECU are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International, which is synonymous with excellence in business education. Less than 6% of the world's schools offering business degree programs hold accreditation with AACSB International.
