Master of Science in Engineering Management

The Master of Science in Engineering Management at the University of Dayton is a 30-hour program designed to meet the needs of traditional students and current professionals.

Program Overview

Most courses for engineering management students are offered in-person three semesters per year, at times compatible with the typical workday. These classes generally are 1 hour, 15 minutes long, and meet twice weekly. Most of our in-person classes are also simulcast online, enabling students to participate in real time, whether on campus or on the go. All simulcast courses are recorded, enabling students to playback sessions at their convenience.

Degree Information and Courses

The program requires 30 credit hours to earn the degree. The average starting salary with a UD engineering management graduate degree is $74,820.

Admission Requirements

In addition to the online application, applicants should submit the following:

1. Official academic records of all previously attended colleges or universities must be submitted directly from the colleges or universities to the Office of Graduate Admission Processing.
2. At least one letter of recommendation from a professor or employer.
3. A personal statement and resume.
4. Results from the GRE are not required, but candidates are welcome to submit a score in support of their application.

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree from an accredited program in engineering, physics, chemistry, applied mathematics, or other appropriate program of study. Applicants with a different undergraduate degree may be required to complete prerequisites. Applicants should have at least a 3.0 cumulative grade-point average on a 4.0 scale. Some programs require higher GPAs for admission. In some cases, applicants with a GPA below 3.0 may be admitted on a conditional basis.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis with the following approximate general deadlines:
