Master's Programme in Applied Computer and Information Technology (ACIT)
The Master's Programme in Applied Computer and Information Technology (ACIT) offers several courses as single courses. These courses are part of the programme's curriculum and are available to students who meet the admission requirements.
Admission Requirements
To apply for single courses, students must meet the programme's general admission requirements, which include:
- A bachelor's degree with an average grade of at least C according to the ECTS grading scale
- Proof of English proficiency
Additional requirements to consider:
- Students must be resident in Norway to be eligible to apply for single courses offered by ACIT
- Students must check that they meet all the admissions requirements when submitting their application
- There are a limited number of study places available
How to Apply
Applying as a single course student is done in three steps:
- Application for admission
- Registration to the course(s)
- Payment of the semester fee
Each step has its own deadline.
Step 1: Application for Admission as a Single Course Student
Students can apply for admission as a single course student through the application portal. They must fill out the application form and upload all relevant documentation.
Application periods:
- Autumn semester: June 1 August 1
- Spring semester: November 15 - December 15
Step 2: Registration for Courses
Students must register for available courses in the student portal. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, and all registration closes after the deadline.
Step 3: Pay the Semester Fee and Complete Semester Registration
The semester fee must be paid by:
- September 1 (autumn)
- February 1 (spring)

Rights as a Single Course Student
As a single course student, students have the same rights as any other student, including:
- Access to teaching activities
- Access to the Canvas system
- Feedback from the subject teacher on submitted work
- An access card
- Ordinary student discounts
Costs
Single course students must pay the semester fee.
