The Visualizing Complexity course is a Master's level program offered at OsloMet. This course introduces students to a methodology that supports handling complexity in design, building on systems and game theory.

Admission Requirements
Students must have a minimum of three years of product design studies or equivalent to be eligible for this course.
Course Content
The course focuses on a methodology that supports the handling of complexity in design. One of the major methods used is GIGA-mapping, which involves cooperation among students, clients, laypeople, professionals, and researchers from other disciplines. GIGA-mapping is used for the visualization of data to accumulate, communicate, and analyze data in order to understand and create products and services within complex systems and structures. The complexity relates to the social, political, environmental, economic, and technological contexts in which the designer, as well as the product and service they create, will perform and influence.
