Program Overview

The University of Montreal offers a Certificate in International Cooperation and Solidarity, a unique program that examines cooperation and solidarity through the lens of decolonization. This program allows students to build a personalized path, either to work in international cooperation or to explore the field of solidarity, sustainable development, or social economy in Quebec.

• Duration: 1 year (full-time), with the possibility of part-time study

Admission Requirements

• General Requirements:
  • Be a holder of a college diploma (DEC) awarded by the Quebec Ministry of Education or have equivalent training.
  • Have completed 24 university credits with a cumulative average of at least 2.0/4.3.
  • Have completed the Access FAC program at the University of Montreal.
• French Language Requirement:
  • For students who have studied entirely in French, no additional French language proficiency test is required.
  • For students who have not studied entirely in French, they must provide results of an accepted French language proficiency test (e.g., TEF, TCF, DELF, DALF) with scores meeting the program's requirements.
• Other Requirements:
  • Verification of judicial records is mandatory for anyone who wants to work in a health, social services, or education establishment, including students who will do an internship in an intervention setting.
  • Certain vaccines may be required for students who will work in health or social services settings.

Tuition Fees

• Resident of Quebec: $2,177.05 per trimester (full-time, 15 credits)
• Canadian Non-Resident of Quebec: $5,387.20 per trimester (full-time, 15 credits)
• International Student: $15,602.05 per trimester (full-time, 15 credits)
• French or Belgian Francophone Student: $5,387.20 per trimester (full-time, 15 credits)
