نظرة عامة على البرنامج
Graduate Education Non-Matriculated Option
The Graduate Education Non-Matriculated Option is designed for individuals who wish to take courses without enrolling in a degree-granting program. This option is ideal for teachers looking to fulfill continuing education requirements, including Pennsylvania Act 48 credits, or for those seeking professional development in the field of education.
Overview
This option allows individuals to take online classes at Drexel University, an accredited institution, without being enrolled in a degree or certificate program. Students are referred to as "non-matriculated students" and can choose from a variety of courses with the help of an academic advisor.
Average Duration and Format
The average duration of this option is 3-12 months, and the format is fully online. The program consists of 12 quarter credits, with a tuition rate of $1144 per credit.
Eligibility
This option may be suitable for:
- Individuals who need Pennsylvania Act 48 credit
- Those interested in taking a specific class
- Individuals who are unsure about online learning and want to experience it
- Students enrolled in another college or university who wish to take a course at Drexel
Limitations
There are limits on the number of classes that can be taken per term and the total number of classes that can be taken at Drexel before declaring a major. Some classes may not be available, and tuition financing options may require enrollment in a degree program.
Curriculum
Courses will be chosen with the help of an academic advisor. A quarter to semester credit converter is available to calculate the difference.
Admissions Criteria
The admissions criteria include:
- A bachelor's degree in any field
- A completed application
- Transcripts (official or unofficial) from all colleges or universities previously attended
- An essay of approximately 250 words stating the intended area of study, reasons for seeking admission, and how the courses fit into the overall personal and professional development plan
- Additional requirements for international students
Tuition
The tuition rate for the academic year is $1144 per credit, which is a 25% tuition savings off Drexel's regular tuition rate of $1525 per credit. A graduate online program fee of $125 per year applies to students enrolled in an online graduate academic program. This program is not eligible for financial aid, but special tuition rates are available for Drexel University alumni, military members, and members of partner organizations.
