Introduction to the University Program

The University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) is a innovative university with a motto of "" (Erudite, industrious, and pursuing the truth). The university's predecessor, the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was established in 1978 and has since cultivated numerous top-notch talents.


School of Emergency Management

The School of Emergency Management, UCAS, adheres to the philosophy of "" (Integration of science and education, people-oriented, collaborative innovation, and serving the nation). The school focuses on the development of emergency management talents and technological innovation, combining mathematics, system science, management science, information science, and psychology to conduct research in emergency management.


Program Objectives

The program aims to cultivate high-level, innovative talents with a solid foundation in engineering management, leading the development of emergency science, technology, and engineering.


Admission Requirements

To be eligible for the program, applicants must:


  • Be a citizen of the People's Republic of China
  • Support the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party and have good moral character
  • Have a bachelor's degree and at least three years of work experience (or equivalent)
  • Be in good physical health

Admission Examination

The admission examination consists of:


  • Initial examination: a national unified examination organized by the Ministry of Education
  • Re-examination: a differential re-examination

Physical Examination

Applicants must undergo a physical examination at a secondary or higher-level hospital, following the standards set by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health.


Admission

Admission is based on the applicant's examination scores, political ideology, and physical health. The university will determine the admission list according to the examination results and other factors.


Degree Awarding

The program has a duration of two years. Students who complete the required credits, pass the thesis defense, and meet the university's requirements will be awarded a master's degree from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
