Overview

The Mathematics Preparation bridging microcredential provides a solid foundation for university maths studies. It offers comprehensive preparation for first-year mathematics units by reviewing introductory mathematical concepts. Who Should Attend

This bridging microcredential is suitable for students from various mathematical backgrounds intending to enrol in first-year mathematics units who require a review of introductory mathematical concepts. It is highly recommended for students who have completed HSC Mathematics Standard or have no mathematical experience and intend to undertake mathematics units such as MATH1000 or economics units at first-year level.

On successful completion of this microcredential, you will be awarded a Macquarie University digital credential certifying your achievement of the knowledge, skills, and capabilities outlined in the program.

  • Amir Ebadati Bazkiaei, a PhD candidate in astrophysics and astronomy
  • Carolyn Kennett, who has taught at Macquarie University for more than 25 years and specializes in teaching numeracy skills to students who feel daunted by mathematics.

Dates and Location

The microcredential will be delivered on campus at the Wallumattagal Campus. Specific dates include 02 Feb 2026, with the program running from 10:00 to 13:00. The room allocation is 1CC 210.
