English Language Learner's Ladder

The English Language Learner's Ladder is a program designed to support students in developing their English language skills. The program consists of seven levels, each with its own set of requirements and course offerings:

• Level 7: All classes at grade level English For College (TOEFL) for grades 11 and 12
• Level 6: English Literature one grade below grade level, all other classes at grade level
• Level 5: English Language Arts (Basic), ESL, Geography, Middle School English, Science, and Math at grade level
• Level 4: ESL, Language Arts (Basic), ESL, Geography, Middle School English Literature, and Math at grade level
• Level 3: ESL, English Language Arts (Basic), ESL, Geography, and Math at grade level
• Level 2: ESL, English Language Arts (Basic), and Math at grade level
• Level 1: 5 classes of ESL (4-6 students in a class), Art, and Math at grade level
