Introduction to the Biochemistry Program
The Biochemistry program at the Faculty of Science, Sohag University, is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in biochemistry, preparing them for careers in research, industry, and healthcare.
Objectives of the Biochemistry Program
- Prepare graduates with a strong scientific foundation, enabling them to compete in the regional job market.
- Equip graduates with specialized skills in biochemistry, meeting the needs of the job market in this field.

Admission Requirements and Scholarships
- Hold a General Secondary Education Certificate in Science or its equivalent, with admission through the Coordination Office according to the college's needs.
- Transfer students from similar programs in faculties of science at Egyptian or foreign universities may be accepted, provided they meet the college's admission requirements. Credits from previous studies may be transferred according to the rules set by the college's executive committee and approved by the university's central committee and council.
- Students must pay the tuition fees determined by the university council at the beginning of each academic year.
- Students may join the program after completing the first level of the original college regulation, provided they meet the first condition of this article. In this case, students must pay the tuition fees for the first level.

The program's curriculum is designed to provide a comprehensive education in biochemistry, including theoretical and practical courses.

- Annual tuition fees: Car registration fees + 15,000 EGP (in two installments).
Program Reference Standards
The Biochemistry program offered by the Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Science, Sohag University, is prepared in accordance with the National Academic Reference Standards (NARS) for Biochemistry issued by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education.
