The Faculty of Arts is a part of Assiut University, located in Assiut, Egypt. The university was established in October 1957 as the first university in Upper Egypt to prepare graduates with the assets of scientific knowledge.

The Faculty of Arts has recently:

• Approved granting the researcher Fatima Al-Zahraa Adel Saad Zaki the Doctorate degree in Arts / Sociology, specializing in Development Sociology, with an overall grade of First Class Honors.
• Launched the first day of the workshop for the Surveying, Maps, and Geographic Information Systems program.
• Welcomed new students for the academic year 2025/2026.
• Approved granting the researcher Reda Mohamed Ahmed Karim the Doctorate in Arts / Psychology with a specialization in Personality Psychology, with an overall grade of First Class Honors.
