Introduction to the Master's Program in Tolerance and Coexistence

The Master's Program in Tolerance and Coexistence is a pioneering program in the United Arab Emirates and the regional level. It gains significant importance from the country's vision, "We are the Emirates 2031," which is based on four main axes that include all vital sectors, including society, economy, and the UAE's relations with various countries around the world.

The program aims to meet the need of institutions in the UAE for specialists in the values and principles of tolerance and coexistence. This is to enhance community peace, human brotherhood, and lead global dialogues on diversity, tolerance, peace, and stability, considering it as a first line of defense for security, safety, and future development.

Program Outcomes

Upon completing the program, students are expected to:


  1. Demonstrate an analytical understanding of the concepts, knowledge, and theories related to tolerance, coexistence, and human commonalities.
  2. Apply scientific research skills in the areas of tolerance, coexistence, and peace using available scientific sources and practical experiences, and develop creative solutions to issues related to hatred, violence, and rejection of others.
  3. Establish positive and professional relationships based on dialogue, understanding, and acceptance of others with individuals, institutions, and relevant bodies.
  4. Invest the acquired knowledge in building a moderate personality in thought, education, and behavior.
  5. Contribute to spreading the values and discourse of tolerance, coexistence, acceptance of others, and openness to cultures and peoples in society.
  6. Demonstrate the principles of tolerance and coexistence and the acceptance of others in Islam.
  7. Illustrate the efforts and local and global initiatives of the United Arab Emirates in consolidating the values of tolerance and coexistence and enhancing peace and rapprochement between human cultures.
