Introduction to the O-NECUS Exchange Program

The O-NECUS project is a collaborative effort between Jilin University and Okayama University in Japan, aiming to provide international education and cultivate outstanding talent.


Program Details

Learning Time

The program duration is from October 2020 to September 2021.


Learning Professional

Okayama University accepts students from various majors, with specific information available in attachments 1 and 2.


Enrollment Conditions

  • Students must be full-time, non-commissioned master's students from the 2019 class of the School of Humanities or School of Social Sciences.
  • Students must be physically and mentally healthy, with excellent academic performance and no disciplinary record.
  • Students must have completed all required courses without any make-up exams.
  • Language requirements: Students must have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 2 or above and provide relevant language proficiency certificates.

Fees

  • Tuition fees are waived during the study period at Okayama University, but students must pay normal tuition fees to Jilin University.
  • Students are responsible for accommodation fees, international travel fees, living expenses, and insurance.

Enrollment Requirements and Procedures

  1. Students must discuss their study plan, course selection, internship, and credit recognition with their supervisor and department before applying.
  2. Students must prepare materials according to the requirements of the O-NECUS project and fill out the application form.
  3. The application must be signed by the supervisor and department head, and stamped with the department's seal.
  4. The International Cooperation and Exchange Office is responsible for recommending eligible students to Okayama University.
  5. The application deadline is October 21st.

Research Areas

The program focuses on social and cultural sciences, with specific research areas available in attachments 1 and 2.


Credit Recognition

Jilin University recognizes credits earned during the exchange program, with credit recognition and grade conversion following the university's regulations.
