Introduction to the Free Online Korean Language Program

The Graduate School of Yonsei University is collaborating with the King Sejong Institute Foundation to offer a free online Korean Language learning program for international students. This program is part of the Graduate School's Graduate Innovation Project.

Program Details

• The program will be run through the Online King Sejong Institute website.
• It provides a customized Korean curriculum to its users.
• The platform is available on both PC and mobile.
• It supports tailored learning through online level tests.

Course Operation Period and Schedule

• The course operation period is from May 26, 2025, to August 3, 2025 (10 weeks).
• The course schedule includes:
  • Introduction to Sejong Korean (self-study, 10 weeks of online course content)
  • Sejong Korean Beginner 1 (lecture, 10 weeks of online course content, 10 real-time video lectures, 2 assignments, online performance assessment)
  • Sejong Korean Intermediate 1
  • Sejong Korean Intermediate 2
  • Sejong Korean Advanced 1
• Real-time video lectures are held every Wednesday at 7 PM.

Applicant Eligibility and Application Period

• The program is open to international students at Yonsei Graduate School.
• The application period is open until May 16, 2025.

Application Procedure

1. Register online on the King Sejong Institute website and take the level test (save the test results as a PDF).
2. Complete the Online King Sejong Institute application form and submit both the form and the level test results by email.
3. On the course opening date, log in to the Online King Sejong Institute and access the course through [My Classroom].

Additional Information

• All courses are free, and participants from previous semesters are welcome to participate again.
• The program aims to provide international students with an opportunity to learn Korean language and culture.
