Introduction to the EUREKA! Program

The EUREKA! program is a virtual summer research experience delivered through a creative, virtual format. All facets of the program, including campus and community activities, are performed remotely from home through video conferencing and other online means.

Program Benefits

Program Timeline

The online EUREKA! program timeline is as follows:

• Application opens for EUREKA! 2026: April 1
• Application due date (including $50 application fee): May 3 (11:59 p.m.)
• Notification of admission to EUREKA!: Week of May 19
• Program fees due (electronic payment RECEIVED, not postmarked) and participation forms completed and submitted: June 1
• Individual check-in meetings: Week of June 15
• Online EUREKA! Program Dates: June 22 - July 24
• EUREKA! Poster Forum (held in-person): Friday of Family Weekend

Program Fees and Policies

• Program fees are collected online and include:
  • Application fee ($50)
  • Program fee ($500)
• There are no application fee refunds, and no refunds are given to any student expelled from the EUREKA! program.
• Students must complete first-year orientation modules and meet with their Academic Advisor before the start of the program.

Requirements

• In addition to research hours, there may be one additional meeting each day.
• Students can participate from any location, provided they have a strong internet connection, cameras on, a microphone available, and are fully focused and actively participating when appropriate.

Attendance Policy

• Students are expected to attend required EUREKA! academic events.
• The online program option offers more location flexibility and requires less time each day.
