Introduction to the 2025 King Abdullah 3+2 Joint Training Program
The 2025 King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) 3+2 joint training program is now open for registration. This program is a collaborative effort between KAUST and the South China University of Technology (SCUT), aiming to provide students with a comprehensive education in materials science and engineering.

Materials Science and Engineering Program at KAUST

Students who participate in this program will spend the first three years studying at SCUT and the last two years at KAUST.

Eligibility
The program is open to students from the Materials Science and Engineering College, class of 2022.
Application Requirements
- Excellent academic performance and good moral character
- No disciplinary action during their time at the university
- Good physical and mental health
- No failed courses
- GPA requirement: minimum 3.0/4.0
- English language proficiency:
- IELTS: 6.5 (with no band less than 5.5)
- TOEFL (Internet-based Test): 79 (with no band less than 17)
- PTE or CAE equivalent scores
