Learning Outcomes

At the completion of the course, students will be able to:

• Introduce themselves and tell about their general background and current situation
• Manage in Finnish in common social situations
• Write short messages
• Understand the main words used in their environment
• Know more about Finnish customs

Content

The course will cover:

• Basic vocabulary of daily life and the basic grammatical structures of Finnish (partitive and genitive, verb types 15, possessives)
• Practice situations related to everyday tasks and social life (asking and answering questions)
