Introduction to Zhengzhou University Music Program

Zhengzhou University, established in 2000, is a comprehensive university that encompasses 11 academic disciplines, including literature, economics, management, law, history, philosophy, education, and agriculture. The university has four campuses, with a total area of 7311 acres, and boasts a strong faculty and excellent facilities.

The Music Department at Zhengzhou University was established in 2001, with the goal of creating a high-level music program that meets international standards. The department has 37 faculty members, including three professors, and offers undergraduate programs in music education and music performance.

Application Procedure

1. Applicants from Henan Province must take the unified music professional examination administered by the Henan Province Education Department.
2. Applicants from outside Henan Province must take the music professional examination administered by Zhengzhou University.
3. Applicants must also take the national college entrance examination in their home province.

Examination Content

The examination content for applicants from outside Henan Province includes:

• Music performance: singing, playing instruments, or dancing
• Music education: singing, playing instruments, or dancing, with an additional test on music theory

Admission Principles

New Student Registration
