Accounting and Finance Pathway from The College

The Accounting and Finance programme at Swansea University provides students with a solid academic background, preparing them for the workplace or postgraduate training. This programme acquires key technical accounting and finance skills and develops knowledge of a broad range of topics, enabling students to understand financial information and link it to broader decision-making.


Pathway Overview

Successful completion of this pathway will lead to the award of one of the following from Swansea University:


  • Accounting, BSc (Hons)
  • Accounting and Finance, BSc (Hons)
  • Finance, BSc (Hons)

Entry Dates and Fees

  • Foundation - One Semester: September, January, June - £12,600
  • Foundation - Two Semesters: September, November*, June, January - £17,600
  • First Year - Two Semesters: September, November*, January - £18,500
  • Foundation - Three Semesters: September, January, June - £22,000
  • First Year - Three Semesters: September, January, June - £22,000
  • Second and Final Year (University): September - £19,600

Entry Requirements

There are both English Language and Academic Entry Requirements for Foundation and First Year study. Students can be admitted directly to First Year if their academic qualifications do not require a Foundation stage of study. In addition to the above, all students will be required to demonstrate a suitable level of English language ability. Information on these requirements and the qualifications that are accepted can be viewed on the English language requirements page.

Location

All Foundation Year programmes will be taught on the Bay Campus. First and further years are also taught on the Bay Campus of Swansea University.


Additional Costs

Recommended textbooks for this course are available in the University libraries, but you may choose to purchase personal copies. All software needed for the course is available on the University network for use within University computer rooms. Free wireless internet access is available across the whole of the University campus, including halls of residence. Personal costs such as purchase of stationery, photocopying costs, parking fees, or travel between the campuses are not included in your tuition fees.
