Master HCI Program Details ## Master HCI Program Details at the University of Würzburg are as follows: ### Studienordnungen und Studienverlaufsplan The program is governed by the Fachspezifischen Bestimmungen (FSB) and the allgemeine Studien- und Prüfungsordnung (ASPO). The FSB contains the Studienfachbeschreibung (SFB), which lists the individual modules of the program. ### Fachspezifische Bestimmungen The FSB supplement the ASPO with details specific to the Master's program in Human-Computer Interaction. The FSB include the SFB as an annex. For students, the latest version of the FSB applies at the time of starting their studies. #### Fassung The version of the FSB is updated periodically. #### ASPO The ASPO is the general study and examination regulations. #### FSB The FSB are the subject-specific provisions. #### Modulhandbücher The module handbooks are available in German and English. ### Studienverlaufsplan The proposed module sequence plan for completing the program within the standard study period is outlined in the FSB from February 2021. ## Prüfungsangelegenheiten ### Prüfungsamt The examination office for the Human-Computer Interaction programs is part of the Faculty of Human Sciences. Information and documents from the examination office can be found on their website. The examination office is the contact point for questions regarding examination matters, such as registration for exams and thesis submissions, and provides the necessary application forms. ### Prüfungsausschuss The examination committee for the Human-Computer Interaction programs consists of: - Prof. Dr. Marc Erich Latoschik (Chairman) - Prof. Dr. Jörn Hurtienne (Deputy Chairman) - Jonathan Tschanter (Member) - Dr. Tobias Grundgeiger (Deputy Member) ### Prüfungsanmeldung und Abmeldungsfristen There are generally three different periods for registering and deregistering for an examination: - A period in the middle of the lecture period for modules that include a written examination at the end of the lecture period - A period at the beginning of the lecture period for modules that include presentations, for example - The entire semester (WS 01.10. – 30.03.; SoSe 01.04. – 30.09.) for modules like the internship Important: Registration and deregistration deadlines are updated for each module each semester in WueStudy. After the deadlines have passed, registration or deregistration is no longer possible. If you take an examination without prior registration, it will not be evaluated and cannot be credited! ## Nachholen von Grundlagenveranstaltungen als quereinsteigende Person As a lateral entrant, for example from psychology or computer science, you have the opportunity to catch up on basic courses from the bachelor's program to close any knowledge gaps. However, this requires prior agreement with the academic advisory service. ## Anrechnung bereits erbrachter Leistungen To have study achievements credited that were completed outside of the Human-Computer Interaction programs, please fill out the official form for crediting examination achievements and submit it to the examination committee via the academic advisory service. Further information can be found on the examination office's website. ## Ausstellung des Masterzeugnisses After all achievements have been recorded in WueStudy, the master's certificate can be issued.
