Master of Business (Human Resource Management)
The Master of Business (Human Resource Management) is a postgraduate program designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage people in organizations. The program focuses on recruitment, performance and reward systems, employment relations, and staff development.
Program Overview
The program is delivered over 1-2 years full-time or 3-4 years part-time, with a CRICOS code of J. Students can choose to study online or at the Gardens Point campus.

Program Structure
The Master of Business is designed in three blocks of study:
- Foundation studies (48 credit points)
- Discipline studies (96 credit points)
- Complementary studies (48 credit points)
Students with an undergraduate degree that is not in Business or a related field of study will undertake 192 credit points of study commencing with Foundation studies.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for the program, students must have a recognized bachelor degree in any discipline with a minimum grade point average of 4.00 (on QUT's 7-point scale).
English Language Requirements
Students must meet the minimum English language requirements, which include:
- IELTS Academic: overall 6.5, with no sub-score below 6.0
- Cambridge English Score: overall 176, with no sub-score below 169
- PTE Academic: overall 58, with no sub-score below 50
- TOEFL iBT: overall 79, with no sub-score below 16
Fees
The tuition fees for the program are:
- 2026: $36,600 per year full-time (96 credit points)
- 2025: $35,200 per year full-time (96 credit points)

Advanced Standing
Students who have articulated from the Graduate Certificate in Business (Human Resource Management) may receive exemptions for up to 48 credit points. Advanced standing may also be available for students who have studied a related postgraduate program with another institution within the last five years.
