Master of Applied Statistics
The Master of Applied Statistics is a program designed to provide advanced skills within data wrangling and visualization, enabling graduates to handle large and complex data volumes and transform them into complex and flexible data visualization solutions.

This course provides advanced skills within data wrangling and visualization, enabling graduates to handle large (and complex) data volumes and transform them into complex and flexible data visualization solutions, including the creation of interactive dashboards.

Target Group and Outcome
Target Group
This program is open to individuals with diverse professional backgrounds and interests, making it accessible to a wide range of applicants. The common denominator is working with quantitative data and needing the skillset to transform these data into valuable knowledge for the company/organization, clients, citizens, and/or society at large.
Outcome
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Apply advanced data wrangling techniques to manage large data volumes
- Create and manipulate data frames using data stored in databases
- Design and implement complex data visualization solutions to address stakeholder requirements
- Solve complex problems using advanced data wrangling and data visualization solutions
Seminar Dates, Location, and Other Expenses
Seminar Dates
The lectures in the semester will be from February to May (both included) and exams in June (re-exams August). It consists of approximately five in-person workshops and approximately seven online course sessions.
Location
We expect in-person lectures to take place at Aalborg University, Aalborg. Precise locations will be announced before the program starts.
Other Expenses
Apart from the tuition fee, other expenses should be anticipated for books, software, travel expenses, and accommodation during seminars.
