Doctor of Nursing Practice Program

The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program offers two pathways, BSN-DNP and MSN-DNP, to the terminal practice degree in nursing. The DNP program prepares clinician-scholars to become leaders in advancing evidence-based practice solutions and innovations into clinical practice, improving healthcare outcomes, and strengthening nursing management and education.

About the Program

The DNP Program is primarily online, but is considered a hybrid program, as students are required to be on campus at specific times for intensives. The program utilizes a variety of state-of-the-art online and distance learning technologies and techniques to facilitate the program and enrich the student learning experience.

Overview

The DNP Program prepares nursing graduate students to assume leadership roles in system-based approaches designed to promote quality, safety, and excellence in nursing practice. The program prepares students to address health disparities and improve population healthcare outcomes, and incorporates scientific, theoretical, and ethical principles into quality healthcare for individuals, families, and populations.
