Introduction to the International Graduate Course for Data-driven & Hypothesis-driven Science

The International Graduate Course for Data-driven & Hypothesis-driven Science (IGC-DHS) is a program offered by the Graduate School of Science at Hokkaido University. This course is designed for foreign students who wish to pursue Master's and PhD level degrees and certificates in basic science.

Program Overview

The IGC-DHS consists of four majors:

• Mathematics
• Condensed Matter Physics
• Cosmosciences
• Natural History Sciences

The major of Natural History Sciences is further classified into three fields:

• Earth and Planetary Sciences
• Biodiversity
• Science Communication

All educational and research activities can be undertaken in English, allowing for close interaction with Japanese students.

Master's Program

Description

The Master's program typically requires 2 years to complete.

Doctorate Program

Description

The Doctorate program typically requires 3 years to complete.
