Master MEDIM Program
The Master MEDIM is a second-level master's program offered by the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" in collaboration with the Centro di Ricerche Economiche e Giuridiche (CREG). The program aims to address the complex issue of migration, providing students with the necessary knowledge and skills to analyze and manage migration flows.
Objectives
The Master MEDIM seeks to train experts in immigration and intercultural relations, enabling them to work in research, guidance, project planning, service management, and monitoring in public institutions, the third sector, and private companies. The program provides students with the tools to analyze and understand the socio-economic and legal aspects of immigration.
Destinatari
The Master MEDIM is designed for graduates in economic, legal, and social disciplines with a four-year or master's degree from an Italian or foreign university. Graduates from other disciplines may be considered for admission by the College of Teachers. The program is open to Italian and foreign citizens residing in Italy with a regular residence permit for work or study purposes.
Duration and Structure
The Master MEDIM is a one-year program consisting of 1,500 hours. The program is divided into modules, each focusing on specific professional profiles and taking into account the constant evolution of the subject matter. Lessons will be taught in a frontal or e-learning mode on the university's platform.

- Area Giuridica: Diritti e doveri dello straniero, Disposizioni sull'ingresso ed il soggiorno, Rifugiati e protezione internazionale, L'acquisto della cittadinanza italiana, Famiglia e minori, Il regime delle espulsioni, Il diritto penale dell'immigrazione e la difesa legale degli immigrati
- Area Economica: Immigrazione ed Economia, Immigrazione, lavoro ed imprenditoria
- Area Statistico – Economica: Statistica
- Area Comunicazione – Intercultura: Teoria della Comunicazione, Comunicazione interpersonale nell'approccio tra culture, Nozioni di base per la progettazione – fondi europei e locali
Stage
At the end of the classroom activities, participants will undertake an internship at institutional structures that deal with immigration and asylum law. The internship aims to acquire new skills and reinforce the theoretical activities carried out in the classroom.
Final Examination
The final examination consists of the preparation of a research or service project and its oral discussion. In addition to frontal teaching, seminars, workshops, project work, group work, exercises, and internships will be organized.
Professional Outcomes
The Master MEDIM aims to train professionals with specific skills to be employed in the public administration, social sector, and companies, in roles related to human resources and social responsibility promotion.
Tuition Fee
The tuition fee for the Master MEDIM is € 1,000.00.
Credits
The positive completion of the program leads to the acquisition of 60 training credits (CFU), of which 16 are obtained through an internship experience, and the award of the Master's degree in Economics, Law, and Interculture of Migrations – MEDIM.
