Introduction to the China-EU "1+N" Agricultural Green Development (AGD) Interdisciplinary Innovative Talent Training Project

The China-EU "1+N" Agricultural Green Development (AGD) Interdisciplinary Innovative Talent Training Project is a high-end talent training project approved by the Chinese government. The project aims to cultivate interdisciplinary innovative talents in the field of agricultural green development.

Project Overview

The project is a collaborative effort between Chinese Agricultural University, Wageningen University in the Netherlands, the University of Hohenheim in Germany, and the French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food, and Environment (INRAE). The project plans to recruit 12 doctoral students in 2026, with a study period of 4 years (48 months). Students will spend 24 months studying and practicing at Chinese Agricultural University and 24 months studying and researching at one of the European partner universities.

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for the project, applicants must:

• Meet the admission requirements for doctoral students at Chinese Agricultural University
• Be under the age of 33 (born after January 1, 1993)
• Have a master's degree in a relevant field, such as plant nutrition, soil science, environmental science, ecology, botany, animal science, food science, microbiology, agricultural engineering, or economics
• Meet the requirements for applying for a Chinese government scholarship
• Be willing to participate in research topics related to agricultural green development, such as root-soil interface and nutrient efficient utilization, soil health and crop green high-yield, tropical agricultural biodiversity, green product industry and nutrition health, agricultural green ecological environment, and regional agricultural green development pattern and strategy

Application Procedure

The application procedure includes:

1. Specialized Registration: Applicants must send an email with the required materials to the specified email address. The email subject must include the applicant's name and "2+2 registration".
2. Project Review: The project office will review the application materials, and qualified applicants will be invited for an interview.
3. College Review: Applicants who pass the project review must participate in a review organized by the college they originally applied to.
