Master of Education (M.Ed.)

Overview

The University of Ulm offers a teacher training-related Master's program for teaching at secondary schools. After completing the teacher training-related Bachelor's program, graduates can seamlessly continue their studies in the Master's program and qualify for the preparatory service (teacher training).

Program Structure

The teacher training-related Bachelor's program focuses on the subject-specific education of the later teaching subjects. In the teacher training-related Master's program, the focus shifts. The program emphasizes subject-related and educational science modules, as well as the school practice semester.

Supplementary Master's Program

There is an option to study an additional field in a supplementary Master's program (supplementary master's degree) in parallel with or after completing the Master of Education. The supplementary master's degree has a scope of 120 ECTS. Upon completion of the supplementary master's degree, students acquire the scientific qualification for teaching in this subject at all levels of secondary school.
