نظرة عامة على البرنامج
Program Overview
The University of Trento's Winter School on Physics of the Cell is a program designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the physics of cellular systems. The program is held annually in January and is open to students from around the world.
Program Details
- Location: University of Trento, Via Verdi, Trento, Italy
- Schedule: From 20 January 2020 to 31 January 2020
- Program Name: Winter School on Physics of the Cell
- Leave of Absence: Students are required to take a leave of absence from their home university to participate in the program
Purpose
The program aims to provide students with a deeper understanding of the physics of cellular systems, including the behavior of biomolecules and the modeling of biological phenomena. Students will have the opportunity to learn from renowned experts in the field and to participate in hands-on seminars and lectures.
Activity
Normal Program
The program consists of theoretical lectures and hands-on seminars, which are held on weekdays. The lectures cover topics such as the mechanism of taking in and out of materials to tissues, the effect of radiation on cells, and the folding process of DNA strands. The hands-on seminars provide students with the opportunity to use computer calculating and modeling software, such as "Visual Molecular Dynamics" and "MATLAB", to model and reproduce biological phenomena.
Exception
There are several exceptions to the normal program, including:
- 20 January 2020: Sightseeing program, including a visit to the Cathedral of San Vigilio and a welcome buffet
- 22 January 2020: Visit to the Museum of Science in Trento
- 31 January 2020: Free talk session and farewell buffet
