Curso BIM
The Curso BIM is a specialized course focused on Building Information Modelling (BIM). It is an innovative concept applicable to the architecture, engineering, and construction industries, based on a methodology of sharing information among all stakeholders during the various phases of a building's life cycle. The course aims to train BIM-Managers and is open to professionals and students of engineering and architecture. It lasts for 8 weeks, with a total of 90 hours, and includes theoretical-practical classes, practical classes led by trainers, and tutorial practical classes. Students will develop group projects that will be presented orally and evaluated in the ninth week of the course. To complete the projects, students will have access to academic licenses of the main BIM applications available on the market. The Curso BIM is coordinated by the DEC/UM in an initiative started through the TecMinho and co-organized with the FEUP, FAUP, and IST.
