Introduction to the Program

The University of Belgrade's Faculty of Law is offering a program in Digital Property Law, designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the legal aspects of digital property. This program is a response to the growing need for professionals with expertise in this area, as digital property becomes an increasingly important part of modern life.


Program Objectives

The program aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the complex legal landscape of digital property. The curriculum covers a range of topics, including the concept and types of digital property, infrastructure and technology, market participants, benefits and risks, legal regulation, rights to digital assets, issuance and storage, disposal, consumer protection, and tax treatment.


Curriculum

The program consists of 15 thematic units:


  • Concept and types of digital property
  • Infrastructure and technology of digital property
  • Market participants in digital property
  • Benefits and risks associated with digital property
  • Legal regulation of digital property
  • Rights to digital assets
  • Issuance and storage of digital property
  • Disposal of digital property
  • Consumer protection in digital property
  • Forced collection of digital property
  • Tax treatment of digital property
  • Accounting treatment of digital property
  • Prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing through digital property
  • Supervision of digital property markets
  • Criminal offenses against digital property

Lectures and Faculty

The lectures are delivered by university professors, representatives of the National Bank of Serbia and the Securities Commission, as well as practitioners with expertise in the field. The program includes 50 hours of interactive lectures, scheduled to take place on Saturdays at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade, from February to May 2026.


Certification

Upon completion of the program, participants receive a certificate from the Faculty of Law, confirming their attendance and successful completion of the final exam.


Tuition Fee

The tuition fee for the program is 80,000 dinars, payable in full before the start of the program. The fee includes lecture hours, accompanying materials, and the final exam, with the option for one retake.


Application

Applications for the program are accepted until February 6, 2026. Interested candidates can submit their applications electronically by filling out the application form and sending it to the specified address.
