Introduction to Kansas State University's Financial Aid Programs

Missouri Match Tuition Award

The Missouri Match Tuition Award offers a 100% discount on the nonresident portion of tuition for eligible Missouri residents. The award is valued at an estimated $17,694 (based on 30 credit hours) for a total of $70,766. To be eligible, students must:


  • Be a Missouri resident
  • Enroll in at least 12 credit hours for the fall and spring semesters
  • Meet the general eligibility requirements, including a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.25 and a minimum ACT score of 22 or SAT score of 1100.

Freshman Eligibility

Freshman eligibility for the Missouri Match Tuition Award is based on the student's cumulative high school GPA on a 4.0 scale. The deadline to submit the seventh semester transcript and ACT/SAT test scores for scholarship upgrade is April 1.


Renewal Requirements

The award may be renewed for up to three additional years (four years, eight semesters total) for students who:


  • Maintain a minimum K-State cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Maintain continuous, full-time enrollment for each fall and spring semester
  • Complete a minimum of 24 K-State credit hours for each academic year (fall/spring)

Transfer Student Eligibility

Transfer students must have a cumulative transfer GPA of 3.25 or higher from all previous post-secondary institutions attended. The offer of the award is contingent upon receipt of official college transcripts from all institutions attended, confirming eligibility.
