SQA-AD "3+1+1" International Education Project

The SQA-AD project is a collaborative effort between the Chinese Ministry of Education's Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE) and the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) to promote educational cooperation and exchange between China and the UK. The project aims to cultivate high-level, internationalized talent in China by providing domestic students with access to high-quality foreign education resources.

Program Overview

The program is designed for high school graduates and those with equivalent qualifications, offering them the opportunity to receive foreign education in China. Students enrolled in the program will study at China University of Petroleum (East China) for three years, with the first year focusing on political science, international foundation courses, and intensive English language training. The second and third years will combine political science with professional courses. Upon completion of the three-year program, graduates will be proficient in English and possess international, cutting-edge knowledge and skills in their chosen profession.

Admission Requirements

• Eligible Applicants: High school graduates
• Admission Criteria:
  • Meet one of the following conditions:
    • (1) Achieve a total score in the national college entrance examination that meets the local undergraduate admission line, or achieve an English score of 100 or above, and pass a comprehensive quality interview.
    • (2) For students who do not meet the above conditions, they can participate in the school's entrance qualification test and comprehensive quality interview. Those who pass will be admitted based on merit.

Program Structure

The "3+1+1" program allows students to study in China for three years and then pursue further education abroad. After completing their studies in China, students who meet the requirements of foreign universities can apply to study in the UK, Australia, or Singapore for one or two years to obtain a bachelor's or master's degree.
