Introduction to the Global MBA Program
The Global MBA program at Chung-Ang University is designed to provide fundamental knowledge in the field of management and to develop expertise in specific areas, training students to become global business leaders who are specialists as well as generalists. It offers students without a business degree the opportunity to systematically learn theoretical and practical knowledge in management, allowing them to progress as managers.
Program Overview
All courses offered in the program are conducted entirely in English, and approximately 88 percent of the students are international, creating a multinational learning environment. Students can choose to take either the Advanced Expertise Program or the CAU-Fudan dual-degree program.
Advanced Expertise Program
- Courses are offered by four specialized tracks:
- Accounting and Finance
- Management & Organizations
- Operations & Information System Management
- Strategic Marketing Management
- By completing the required courses in each area, students can fulfill the criteria for specialization in that specific area and receive an Advanced Major (Concentration) qualification.
CAU-Fudan Dual Degree Program
- After completing the first semester, students in the Global MBA program can pursue a dual degree program at Fudan University, one of the top 3 universities in China.
- Students will study management at Chung-Ang University in the first year and then spend the remaining year at Fudan University, where they can choose to pursue a master's degree in either Finance or International Business.
- Upon completion of the program at Fudan University, students will earn both an MBA degree from CAU and a master's degree in either Finance or International Business from Fudan University.
Eligibility Requirements
- TOEFL IBT score of 90 or above
- IELTS score of 6.5 or above
Curriculum Structure
The Global MBA curriculum is designed to cultivate skilled professionals with leadership capabilities and is divided into four tracks:
- Accounting and Finance
- Strategic Marketing Management
- Management and Organizations
- Operations and Information Systems
- The courses are categorized into Foundation Subjects and Advanced Subjects (General).
Completion Requirements
- The Global MBA program typically spans four semesters (two years), requiring a total of 45 credits for graduation.
- Students must complete courses in at least two of the tracks.
- To fulfill a track, students must take two Foundation Subjects and at least one Advanced Subject in the respective area.
- Beyond the two tracks, students are required to complete two or more courses from the Foundation Subjects category.
- If the completion requirements for each track are met, students are awarded a concentration in the respective area.
Distinguished Lecture Series
- The Distinguished Lecturer Series (DS) is a non-credit course in which students are required to attend at least two sessions prior to graduation.
- This open lecture series invites top executives and professionals from various domestic and international companies.
Independent Study
- To develop practical skills beyond the regular semesters, the Independent Study course is offered as a short-term program during the summer and winter sessions.
- Under the guidance of an advisor, students can delve deeply into various field-centered topics through activities such as developing corporate case studies, undertaking industry projects, or participating in short-term domestic and international study programs.
