University Program Information

The university offers a range of programs for students. The following details are provided for the Sports Broadcasting Camp 2026:


Program Description

The Sports Broadcasting Camp is designed for students entering grades 6-12. The program focuses on teaching the fundamentals of play-by-play and color commentary for television and radio. Students will have the opportunity to record segments calling various sports, including basketball, football, baseball, hockey, and soccer. Additionally, students will learn the fundamentals of hosting shows on both TV and podcast formats, utilizing Hofstra's state-of-the-art television and audio studios.


Program Schedule

The Sports Broadcasting Camp is a full-day program. The available sessions for the camp are:


  • Session 2: July 13 - July 24
  • Session 3: July 27 - August 7

Tuition Fees

The early tuition fee for the Sports Broadcasting Camp 2026 is $2,300 per session.

Camp Hours and Dates

The camp hours are from 9am to 4pm. The 2026 camp dates are:


  • Session 1: June 29 - July 10
  • Session 2: July 13 - July 24
  • Session 3: July 27 - August 7
  • Session 4: August 10 - August 14 Note that the camp is closed on Friday, July 3rd.

Medication Policy

A Medication Request Form must be filled out by the camper's physician and either sent to the camp office ahead of time or accompany the medication being dropped off. Medication must be in the original container, including the label with the camper's name, dosage, and the prescriber's name.


Health and Safety

The opening of on-campus summer camps or programs will be subject to all then-current New York State and Nassau County Department of Health requirements and guidance. Participants will be required to follow all such rules and University policies relating to health and safety.
